On arrival at Kigali International Airport, You will be welcomed by Love Rwanda Safaris representative, who will waiting you at the airport, please look for a white sign board with your name. You will then be transferred to Hotel Des Mille Colline also known as Hotel Rwanda located 30 minutes drive away from the airport for dinner and overnight stay.

Inspired by Rwanda’s unforgettable geographical terrain, the hotel derives its name from its motherland known as the “land of a thousand hills.” Hotel Des mille Collines became a shelter to a light of hope in the darkness for a terrified crowd of up to 2,000 people who were saved by the hotel opening its doors in 1994 during the Genocide against the Tutsi.


After a morning breakfast at your hotel, your driver guide will pick you up and lead you for a city tour in the vibrant capital of Kigali. Learn more about Rwanda’s heart-rending history at the Genocide Memorial Centre where 250,000 bodies of genocide victims were given a decent burial.

Later have lunch at Memorial cafe before being transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Cyanika border. While on your journey, you will pass through a ragged terrain with beautiful terraces dug by the farmers of the area, pass through tea plantations that will create beautiful scenery (4 hours’ Drive). On arrival, you are taken to check in at your lodge for Dinner and overnight stay (FB)


The highlight of your safari is a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! All visitors most especially hikers love this challenging rugged steep slopes of gorilla trekking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It unpredictable to foresee how many hours you will use to find the Gorillas, however it may take two to eight hours. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any Gorillas. But it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest while you are taking photographs and videos of your choice. A unique and unforgettable experience! For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The range-guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes then after the visit return to the camp for refreshment then time permitting do some afternoon activities.

After your morning breakfast, you will be driven to Gorilla Guardians formerly known as Iby’iwacu cultural village where you will meet traditional cultural troops that will welcome you and Usher you into the ancient traditions of honour and hospitality that will make you discover Rwandan culture. Music and dance play an indispensable role in everyday life here, and performances range from dashing demonstrations of bravery and prowess to humorous songs, light-hearted dances, and rural artistry with roots in traditions and culture. You will be invited to join and try out these traditional moves and take pictures which will keep memories for long in your life time.

Drive back to Kigali with a stopover at twin lakes for a fantastic view of the volcanoes chain. The twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo were named so because they are situated in the same areas and their physical connection. They are located within Musanze at the base of the Mount Muhabura a walk away from the Volcanoes national park. The lakes offer tourists a spectacular view of landscape, wetland habitat, and water birds, Virunga volcanoes, local communities and the well made agriculture terraces then after drive back to Kigali for your dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Des mille Colline famously known as Hotel Rwanda.


This day will be started with a comfortable morning breakfast at your hotel, then be picked up and driven to Nyamirambo women’s center to experience a traditional cooking class also referred to as “From market to meal” Every step of the process of cooking is shared by Aminatha and participants in this tour. Buy produce and ingredients at market then move to the Center. There you get to work at a wooden table in the courtyard, chopping countless vegetables and starting the charcoal stoves. Under the guidance of Aminatha six traditional, delicious, and gratifying dishes are prepared and then shared by all involved. Enriched with an experience of a lifetime and unforgettable memories, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home and say goodbye to the land of a thousand hills.
